Senator Flux: 2nd Term

Tap feet, not phones!

I got two emails in one week asking for more Senator Flux and since I would never want to disappoint a vocal constituency, here are a couple of incorrupt tracks.

"Fallenness" and "United States Of Amnesia"

Drive Like Jehu

Post-Pitchfork (the band), Pre-Hot Snakes, and briefly co-existing with Rocket from the Crypt, there was Drive Like Jehu. John Reis and Rick Froberg tore the lid off emo and dropped a few bombs in there from San Diego. Their self-titled debut howls like ripping duct tape from your privates.

Drive Like Jehu - "Atom Jack" and "Step On Chameleon"

Pop open the 3rd bottle of bubbly...

It's an obvious New Year's choice, others have stepped in line, but I see no harm in adding to the geek pride of D-Plan's "Ice of Boston." I'll best remember the song as the soundtrack to my going-away party when I went on a 3-month trip to South America in 2001. Randy put together a photo slideshow and midway through he let the song take over.

Dismemberment Plan - "Ice of Boston"

Photo: Fairly certain it's from a D-Plan show Randy and I went to at Bowery Ballroom. As I believe was custom then, the crowd stormed the stage for "Ice of Boston." I think we were too wasted to move.
